How CeiConnect Works
CeiConnect was built by students for students to make it easier to form connections and friendships with people you might never approach in person. You can chat anonymously with other students on campus and, if you both want to, turn that conversation into a real-life connection later.
1-on-1 Matching
- Set “I am in” and “I want” preferences.
- We try to match based on preferences first, then broaden if needed.
- No accounts required, chat stays anonymous.
Group Chat
- Open campus-style chat room for everyone online.
- Recent group messages are available for a short history window.
- Good fallback when you just want to hang out.
Rules and Timing
- Chat hours are 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM ET. Outside these hours is curfew/sleeping time.
- Be respectful. No harassment, hate, threats, doxxing, spam, or illegal content.
- Preferences guide matching; if no good preference match is found, matching broadens.
- Planned next: automatically route users to group chat when no preference match is available.
